A squid inseminates a woman's mouth and...hey! Where ya goin'?

Last week was pretty exhausting but we DID it!!! Actually YOU did it....my "Ten Mind-Blowing Discoveries" column got to number 5 in the most-read list on Alternet so I feel safe for a little while (as safe as I ever feel)....
....and I feel even safer because it's highly unlikely that I'm ever going to eat any par-boiled squid in my life and that is exactly what kicks off the column this week, one of the most sickening and riveting things I've ever read about a squid inseminating a woman's mouth....and how that could happen...followed by.....

....a new breakthrough in birth control for men - a gel you put on like lotion that deactivates sperm....and....

....79 new species of shark are discovered but their numbers are still in danger.....

.....a study revealing that dieters who ate dessert with breakfast did MUCH better on their diets than those who didn't.....

....how you can improve your memory for certain things in your sleep....

....higher tech methods revealing that unconscious patients might be much more comatose than previously thought and the asking them if they want to live or die....

....a meteorite containing a whole new mineral: panguite....

......the RHIC creates the highest man-made temperature of 7.2 trillion degrees....

.....the amazing beauty of bacteria, medication and the brain in the micro-world....

.....a contest for those of you who have the gift of explaining this amazing, but not always intuitive, world of science.

And as always, if you like the column share it, subscribe to it, sing about it....it never hurts for me to get lots of hits and new readers.
