There is a cultural tendency to separate the mind and the body...even "mind/body" medicine / wellness / therapy has it as two words, as though your mind has a separate apartment on the other side of town from where your body lives. Your thoughts and impulses are generated from somewhere, specifically your brain which is part of your body, the part that runs things, even though it doesn't always seem to be in charge. Different parts of the brain have different agendas, especially when it comes to sex and relationships.
