Listen for me on "What's Hot in Central Florida" on 90.7 FM WMFE at 4:32 pm today or click the link if you can't wait and get the scoop on two projects celebrating he richness and beauty of our local and state heritage, first at "Soul of a City" celebrating Black History Month at Hannibal Square Heritage Center this Sunday from 5-8pm. This show is in colaboration with collaboration of Snap! Orlando and Crealde School of Art with DJ Nigel John spinning funk and soul - go to Crealde School of Art or Hannibal Square Heritage Center for more info and also look for "Soul of a City" on Facebook. Next up is "Florida's Useable Past: The Sunshine State and the Index of American Design," Florida's contribution to the WPA Project to catalog American arts and crafts of the 19th century. There was an excellent story in the Orlando Weekly by Richard Reep about that show so take a look at that and then go see both of them for yourself!
